We're thrilled to have been featured in another article of a well-known magazine for Polish car workshops - Warsztat!
This time, in the 01/2023 issue, you can get an overview of the Toolbox section of Immo Bypass.
The article highlights the most popular functions of the Toolbox and explains why it's “a perfect introduction to the world of immobilizers”.

The profession of a car mechatronic in majority consists of working on ECU files and very often entails tedious and complicated calculations. What if such calculations could be automated? Toolbox section of Immo Bypass software makes it possible.
Toolbox is a constantly expanding set of algorithms useful in car electronics. It allows users to automatically calculate values from uploaded files and makes it possible to edit them in an easy way.
Let’s consider the following example:
You have been tasked with installing a second-hand Continental SIMOS 18.1 ECU in a Golf VII with a damaged original ECU. The procedure involves writing VIN, CS, MAC and POWER CLASS values from the original ECU to the donor ECU. Thanks to Toolbox, all you have to do is upload original ECU’s EEPROM and FLASH file readouts. All the necessary values will be automatically calculated by the Toolbox. With these values calculated, you just have to upload the donor ECU’s EEPROM and FLASH readouts and edit the necessary values. Toolbox will save the modified values as files that are ready to be programmed into the ECU.
Job well done, and the customer is satisfied!
Toolbox is also a perfect introduction to the world of immobilizers. Thanks to its ability to automatically modify original files to IMMO OFF files as well as calculating the checksum of the EEPROM, you can seamlessly start working on such ECUs as Bosch EDC17, MED17, ME17 and MEV17. The algorithms work with various car makes equipped with these ECU types. Other algorithms found inside Toolbox include calculating PIN and key ID values from the BSI Module in Fiat Group vehicles.
